Trung & Hai-Vy’s Vietnamese Wedding Tea Ceremony
Wedding
We were honoured to be part of Trung & Hai-Vy’s wedding celebration. The wedding was split onto 2 days because there were just so much to fit within a day (it’s actually not uncommon for Vietnamese wedding here in Australia as there are many formalities required). The first day started off with the tea ceremony, an important part of traditional Vietnamese wedding. The bride looking gorgeous in her red traditional dress (ao dai) and Trung with a big smile on his face and the bouquet on his hand, arrived just outside Hai-Vy’s family residence. He and his family would be […]
Anteneh & Tamsin’s Retro Wedding
Wedding
This is a real life fairy tale that comes true. Anteneh & Tam’s wedding remains one of the most beautiful wedding that I have had the pleasure to photograph.
The Huns (it’s how they call each other, short for honey) had been in a love for as long as anyone can remember (it’s actually 12 years by my humble memory). They first started dating during high school days when they both went to Footscray College. Footscray therefore, had become a big part of their life. It’s where they grew up, went to school, and fell in love. It’s no surprise that […]
Scott & Mina – Real Weddings | Luminare
Wedding
Here’s a thing about a Chinese wedding, to claim his wife, the groom and his best men has to complete series of challenges set by the evil sisters (aka bridesmaids), when they arrive at the bride house that morning. You can’t get out of this. That, or you go home empty handed.
Or you could bribe the evil sisters with some red pocket money…
Once you get through the door, the usual tea ceremony takes place and you get to see the bride in her beautiful traditional red dress, which Mina had chosen very well. It has a modern look with a […]
Shui & Kath – Real Weddings Photography | Fitzroy Gardens
Wedding
The bond shared between two people that have chosen to spend the rest of their lives together is unique and indescribable. There are definitely many memorable moments shared between two lovebirds. Unfortunately, there isn’t always a camera around to capture these beautiful moments.
It is truly an honor that Shui and Kath have chosen Twentyone Photos to join them on their special day. But Kath and I go a long way back.
I actually met Katherine few years back at Kevin & Emily’s wedding in Melbourne Zoo when she was Emily’s bridesmaid. So, when it was her turn to tie the knot, […]
Gerard & Phoebe’s Engagement Photography Melbourne
Engagement
Our engagement shoot with Aris & Ling from Malaysia caught Gerard & Phoebe’s attention and these guys contacted us all the way from Singapore to have their pre-wedding/engagement shoot done, right here in Melbourne. Having spent many years working in Australia before, Gerard knew exactly where the photo locations would be. We made plan and waited for the day to come.
Sometimes, things don’t turn out the way we planned. The day before they flew over, the weather turned bad (as Melbourne weather does). We were forced to have plan B, which mainly involved shooting indoor. We quickly […]
Sue & Joop’s Family Portrait Photography
Family
Dayal turning 1 and his parents, Sue & Joop, wanted to have their family portrait captured and reserved these priceless memories of him being 1 year old. Having seen my work through a mutual friend, Sue contacted me to organize the shoot. They wanted something more natural than those posing shots they did few weeks back in a studio.
We chose Queen’s Park in Moonee Ponds for our location as it has beautiful gardens, big shady tree lines, playgrounds, cafe, and of course, a lake. Perfect spot for a family day out or in our case, a family portrait shoot.
Working with […]
Jake & Anna’s Family Portrait
Family
If there was one thing we absolutely love about shooting weddings, is that, we get to connect with these lovely couples even long after the wedding. Some eventually become friends. Some we hold dear in our heart. This is true for Jake & Anna. In 2013 we’ve had the honour to capture their wedding and they loved the photos so much that Anna said, “when we have our baby, you must definitely come take photos for our family”. That was the best compliment any photographer could have asked for. We get to be part of their lives and not only […]
Jamie & Gia’s Surprise Wedding | Eynesbury Homestead
Wedding
Jamie and Gia came to us pretty excited with this crazy idea of an “engagement party turned surprise wedding” and wanted to capture every moment, reaction from the guests when they found out. The plan was, while everyone busy and enjoy the party, Gia will sneak out to a rear building where she would get changed into her wedding gown. And as their real intention is announced, Gia and her grandmother will walk down the aisle and she will join her husband-to-be, Jamie, at the altar and begin the ceremony.
The rest, as they say, is history.
Marty & Kaye-Maree – A wedding celebration | El Coco
Wedding
What can I say about Marty and Kaye-Maree? What an interesting couple is slightly understatement. Marty and Kaye got married in a beautiful forest of Sequoia National Park with the presence of, wait for it, nobody but a celebrant. That’s right, the two tied the knot without all the formality and interruption from a modern world with smart phone and social media.
But their families and friends did not miss out on the most important thing, the wedding celebration, which took place at their most favourite bar, El Coco on King Street, Melbourne. The celebration was, of course, also very casual. People […]
Tommy & Linda – A Vietnamese Engagement
Engagement
I know the Bui sisters for as long as I can remember and Linda, being the second youngest of five beautiful girls (No, I did not exaggerate at all), is the only one left who still hasn’t walked down the aisle. Linda and Tommy started their relationship in 2011 and the two has been traveling the world together, enjoy romantic candle light dinners and attend every football match they can. It does sound like a perfect relationship if you ask me. No wonder both Linda and Tom is taking their time when it comes to settling down and call it […]
Hung & Nikki’s Engagement Portrait Photography
Engagement
Hung and I have been good buddies for many years now. In fact, he was the very first friend I made back in Uni days when he casually came by my desk and said “Hey, what’s up”. We started hanging out every day ever since.
So nothing would make me more happier when he broke the wedding news. Being a wedding photographer, the only best present I could offer Hung & Nikki to congratulate them, was a pre-wedding portraits session, hoping to capture their love and affection the best way I could.
Aris & Ling’s Melbourne Engagement Portraits
Engagement
Aris and Ling contacted me from Penang, Malaysia to have their engagement portraits done here in Melbourne, most livable city in the world. Their engagement portraits up until now, still our most favourite work that we can be proud of. It represents what twentyone photos and our philosophy is all about, capture the most romantic moments in a beautiful way, naturally. We really enjoyed shooting this gorgeous and lovable couple. Ling is beautiful and laid back. Aris on the other hand, a handsome guy, with contagious smile that bring joy to anyone he talks to. Together, they are such a perfect […]
